La mer ne s\u2019y retire pas trop loin, la profondeur du chenal \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 du rivage est suffisante pour que des navires de taille importante y man\u0153uvrent et s\u2019y abritent.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>D\u00e8s 1726, la 1re jet\u00e9e ma\u00e7onn\u00e9e de la baie de Saint-Brieuc y est construite.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Elle est financ\u00e9e par les Etats de Bretagne. Ce premier port va permettre le d\u00e9veloppement de la p\u00eache \u00e0 Terre-Neuve et du cabotage. Elle est surmont\u00e9e d\u2019un parapet en 1842 et flanqu\u00e9e d\u2019un magnifique brise-lames. P\u00eache lointaine et cabotage prosp\u00e8rent dans ce port tr\u00e8s actif. Les travaux d\u00e9butent en 1876 et s\u2019ach\u00e8vent en 1880. La nouvelle partie mesure 200 m\u00e8tres de long avec une largeur de 9,70 m\u00e8tres \u00e0 l\u2019origine puis par mesure d\u2019\u00e9conomie une largeur uniforme de 3 m\u00e8tres sur toute la partie neuve, \u00e0 l\u2019exception de l\u2019extr\u00e9mit\u00e9 (le musoir) o\u00f9 elle est port\u00e9e \u00e0 5 m\u00e8tres. Elle forme un angle avec la premi\u00e8re partie pour mieux abriter des vents d\u2019est. Les capacit\u00e9s d\u2019accueil sont consid\u00e9rablement augment\u00e9es. Pendant la saison, d\u2019octobre \u00e0 mai, le port accueille de nombreux chalutiers venus des d\u00e9partements voisins. Une nouvelle jet\u00e9e partant du Port-es-Leu et dirig\u00e9e vers le m\u00f4le principal abrite le port des vents de sud-est et l\u2019agrandit consid\u00e9rablement. Le quai Richet, reliant les parties est et ouest du port permet les am\u00e9nagements actuels du Port-es-Leu o\u00f9 sont aujourd\u2019hui install\u00e9s l\u2019aire de car\u00e9nage et le p\u00f4le nautique.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/le-port-5.jpg\" alt=\"Chapelle Sainte-Anne Saint-Quay-Portrieux\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><b>1990\u00a0: inauguration du port en eau profonde\u00a0: le \u00ab\u00a0Port d\u2019Armor\u00a0\u00bb<\/b><\/p>\n<p>D\u00e8s les ann\u00e9es 1974 on parle de la cr\u00e9ation d\u2019un port en eau profonde dans la baie de Saint-Brieuc, pour assurer la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des bateaux de p\u00eache en leur permettant de s\u2019abriter quelle que soit la hauteur de la mar\u00e9e, et pour accueillir les plaisanciers dont le nombre explose. Le site de Saint-Quay-Portrieux est choisi. Les travaux commenc\u00e9s en 1988 s\u2019ach\u00e8vent en 1990. Le Port d\u2019Armor s\u2019appuie sur le m\u00f4le du port d\u2019\u00e9chouage dont il englobe le brise-lame. C\u2019est le premier port en eau profonde entre Brest et Cherbourg et un des seuls ports de ce type accueillant \u00e0 la fois p\u00eache et plaisance. Work began in 1876 and was completed in 1880. The new section was 200 metres long with an original width of 9.70 metres, which was then reduced to a uniform width of 3 metres throughout the new section, with the exception of the end (the musoir) where it was increased to 5 metres. It forms an angle with the first section to provide better shelter from easterly winds. Capacity has been considerably increased. The Saint-Quay-Portrieux site was chosen. Work began in 1988 and was completed in 1990. The Port d'Armor was built on the breakwater of the grounding port. It is the first deep-water port between Brest and Cherbourg and one of the only ports of its type to accommodate both fishing and yachting.
